Two shows coming up to tell you/remind you about. First up, the Reading Frenzy Cheap Art Show, opening December 1. This show features dozens of artists' handmade work, everything under $50. This is a great place to do some holiday shopping and you'll be supporting local artists and Reading Frenzy which is a cornerstone of independent media in Portland and a great supporter of self-publishers/zinesters/artists.
I'll have a bunch of small sea creature plushies like these for sale in this show! Reading Frenzy is on SW 9th and Oak downtown.
Second up is the Big 200 show at People's Art Gallery, opening December 10. This show has hundreds of 8x8 pieces all for $40 a piece, which is a ridiculous deal.
People's Art is in Pioneer Place Mall on the 3rd floor. This show opens on a Saturday and I hear has fun stuff for kids, too, so no excuse not to come by.
I'll have six pieces in the show. They are all sea-themed and are soft sculpture on board.
